Likewise, this <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> could also help control the resistance to abiotic stresses such as drought and salinity.<\/p>\n<p>Gene silencing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>ted with ribonucleic acid (RNA), also called RNA interference (RNAi), is a mechanism for the regulation of gene expression that enables the selective activation or muting of genes at will, both in basic and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lied studies. They are crucial molecular tools in modern molecular biology.<br \/>\nThe study, recently published in Nuclear Acids Research and coordinated by Alberto Carbonell, researcher of the CSIC at the IBMCP, shows the usefulness of one of these tools, the syn-tasiRNAs, to improve the productivity of crops and increase their resistance to both biotic and abiotic stresses.<br \/>\n<b>Two strategies<\/b><br \/>\nOn one hand, it has been observed that the efficiency of a syn-tasiRNA depends on the position that its precursor molecule holds, which determines its level of accumulation. And, on the other hand, it has been verified that the progressive lowering of the degree of base-pairing between the 3&#8242; end of the syn-tasiRNA and the 5&#8242; end of its target RNA also induces a progressive decrease in the efficiency of the syn-tasiRNA.<br \/>\nWith these two strategies, it has been possible to, for example, generate Arabidopsis thaliana plants with a different flowering time depending on the degree of silencing of the FT (Flowering time) gene.
