And with hometown dates on the horizon, the drama is only getting started. Now obviously, thanks to Covid, Katie can\u2019t <em>actually<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> to the hometowns of the final three men, so they\u2019re bringing their hometowns to her. Read on for tonight\u2019s <em>Bachelorette <\/em>recap and find out what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens when Katie meets the families.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Blakes_hometown_date\"><\/span>Blake\u2019s hometown date<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>So Blake\u2019s hometown date gives Katie a little taste of Canada. They play hockey, darts, it\u2019s a grand old time. And since these hometown dates are taking place just steps away from where the other men are staying (awkward), Greg can literally see the two frolicking outside together in matching hockey jerseys, looking like the happiest couple in the world.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CSF4QJeHQyv\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"13\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is painful. Why didn\u2019t a production assistant bring Greg to the spa for a massage? Or like, literally anything else? Why is his <em>only <\/em>pass-time a front row seat to the Katie and Blake show? Needless to say, it\u2019s like a punch in the stomach for the poor dude. \u201cShe looks so happy, it scares me,\u201d he says. It\u2019s about Blake\u2026and his family. Tonight, Katie meets Blake\u2019s mom, sister, and another guy who they never name but I\u2019ll assume it\u2019s his brother in law. They im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely grill Katie on her feelings for Blake, and when she knew she wanted to pursue something serious with him. The elephant in the room is that the two haven\u2019t dropped the L-word yet, but they both apparently feel very strongly for one another. Blake\u2019s mom admits she can tell her son is \u201csmitten\u201d with Katie, and tells him to man up and tell her how he\u2019s truly feeling. Blake\u2019s sister, on the other hand, calls out the obvious\u2026 which is that Blake has dated three Bachelorettes (Clare and Tayshia, last <em>Bachelorette<\/em> season) and he\u2019s fallen hard for them as well. Will Blake return for next season if things don\u2019t work out with Katie? Apparently not, because this time is the real deal. Sure, Jan.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of the night, Blake knows he has to tell Katie he loves her\u2026 but he doesn\u2019t. Katie drives away without getting that reassurance, but still Blake feels confident that they\u2019ll end up together. \u201cIf things keep going the way they are, I know I\u2019ll be getting engaged to Katie,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Justins_hometown_date\"><\/span>Justin\u2019s hometown date<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Right away we learn that Justin\u2019s parents will not be attending his makeshift \u201chometown\u201d date, not because they\u2019re not down to quarantine, but because they literally don\u2019t believe in the whole \u201cfinding love in a matter of weeks with a total stranger\u201d thing. Justin\u2019s frustrated that he\u2019s not going to be able to introduce Katie to his family, but instead will be introducing her to two of his friends. I mean, to be honest, at the end of the day, does it really even matter? This is a battle between Blake and Greg, and if you haven\u2019t figured that out at this point, I feel sorry for you.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, Justin takes Katie to \u201cBaltimore\u201d and I\u2019m kind of cringing at how much they\u2019re forcing the whole hometown date thing. We all know about the restrictions this season has due to the pandemic, so there\u2019s no need to put on a show. Taking a photo in front of a sign that says \u201cWelcome to Baltimore\u201d is not necessary because\u2026YOU\u2019RE NOT IN BALTIMORE, but I digress.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CR9zL77AYyd\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"13\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Justin drops the bomb that his parents won\u2019t coming and Katie is totally understanding, but bummed. She still gets to meet his two friends, so yay. So, Katie and Justin give the two guys a little recap of their relationship, which is confusing to all of America, because we\u2019ve witnessed approximately none of it.<\/p>\n<p>Things get heavy when Justin\u2019s friend questions why he hasn\u2019t told her he loves her. Justin doesn\u2019t want to rush the L-word and feels he still has time to express those feelings down the road, but after some encouragement, tells Katie he\u2019s falling in love with her. Katie smiles and kisses him and tells him she\u2019s \u201cproud\u201d of him.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Gregs_hometown_date\"><\/span>Greg\u2019s hometown date<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>So, Greg\u2019s from New Jersey, so his hometown date consists of riding around on a tandem bike, eating pork rolls, and pretending to surf in the Jersey ocean which they can\u2019t do because they\u2019re in friggen New Mexico. Later on, the two head to a court to play basketball, which is something Greg shared with his late father.<\/p>\n<p>Greg brings up how much he loved their previous date when Katie took Greg to \u201cSeattle\u201d (again, <em>not<\/em> actually Seattle) and they ended the evening kissing in the rain. And just like that, Greg snaps his fingers and once again it starts raining. Somewhere off-screen there\u2019s a production assistant holding a hose I just know it, but on camera it really does look romantic.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CSF9e27sp6I\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"13\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Later that night, Greg is super excited to introduce Katie to his family. He says his family hasn\u2019t seen him this happy since before his dad passed, so this is a big deal. While we get to see some of his family tonight, there apparently are a bunch that couldn\u2019t make the trip, so they actually compiled adorable video messages for Greg and Katie. Way to go above and beyond, guys. <em>Wait until Justin\u2019s parents see this. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>During the hometown date, Greg admits that his connection with Katie makes him realize why it hasn\u2019t worked with anyone else. And Katie feels the same way. In fact, she pretty much tells his mom that Greg has this in the bag. She doesn\u2019t want to use the word \u201cfrontrunner,\u201d but by saying that, she\u2019s using the word frontrunner. And we all know it. Still, Greg\u2019s mom is concerned he may end up hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Greg shares with his mom that he plans to propose to Katie at the end of all this. \u201cShe fills me up with happiness, I haven\u2019t been this happy in a long time,\u201d he tells her.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF; border: 0; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width: 540px; min-width: 326px; padding: 0; width: calc(100% - 2px);\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CSFbagGFy68\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"13\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>At the end of the date, Katie and Greg get some alone time to reflect on the day. Greg breaks down in tears over his dad and how he lost himself for a long time after his passing. But Katie has brought so much joy back into his life. \u201cI didn\u2019t know I was going to fall in love with you. And I am in love with you,\u201d he says through tears. \u201cYou make me the happiest I\u2019ve ever been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But that happiness comes to a screeching halt when Katie doesn\u2019t tell Greg she\u2019s in love with him as well. She doesn\u2019t tell him much of anything, actually, other than how \u201crough\u201d the rest of this journey is going to be. It\u2019s been difficult for her to be so committed to one relationship, but still keep up the other connections.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously frustrated by this, Greg basically asks Katie to tell him he\u2019s going to be the final one. \u201cI can\u2019t be there at the end if it\u2019s not going to be us,\u201d he says. \u201cI just don\u2019t understand how you don\u2019t know at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At this rate I want to scream at my television. Just TELL HIM, girl. But she doesn\u2019t. Katie still isn\u2019t saying what Greg wants to hear and they end the night on a sour note.<\/p>\n<p>The next morning, Greg is confused and thinking Katie doesn\u2019t feel the same way he does. He\u2019s convinced himself that she doesn\u2019t love him and heads to her hotel room to confront her. He calls her out for being cold when he told her he was in love with her. She didn\u2019t reciprocate feelings or even react. And still even now, seems to be cold and unexpressive as Greg is falling apart.<\/p>\n<p>But enough is enough. Greg is begging for reassurance and Katie just can\u2019t give it to him. This dude is in <em>deep<\/em> with Katie and something tells me Blake is in the back of her mind, or else why wouldn\u2019t she just tell him he\u2019s the one? \u201cThere\u2019s obviously a disconnect here. It\u2019s clear,\u201d he says. \u201cAs much as it hurts me, I\u2019ve reached my breaking point with this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m confused how that one night can change everything,\u201d she says. She tells him that he\u2019s been her \u201cnumber one\u201d from the beginning, but that sets him off. It\u2019s not about roses or the show or making it another week. And the fact that she keeps referencing things that have to do with this \u201cjourney\u201d infuriates him. Greg breaks down in tears before storming out of Katie\u2019s room. Katie chases after him and apologizes. \u201cI\u2019m losing you, I\u2019m losing my mind here. This whole thing was for nothing,\u201d she says through tears.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s over for Greg. He tells her he\u2019s not happy.
