\n Although Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James spent his quarantine enjoying time with his wife and kids, he revealed what he misses the most while stuck inside.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing I missed during the COVID and quarantine period was my mother,\u201d James, 35, said during a video conference call on Monday. \u201cIt was the first time I went that long without seeing my mom. I hadn\u2019t seen my mom since All-Star weekend, then I saw her two weeks, three weeks before we had to report to our respective cities. That was extreme for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

James\u2019 mother, Gloria Marie James, spent most of her time in Akron, Ohio during the pandemic, as the 52-year-old didn\u2019t feel comfortable flying out to Los Angeles. The two have a very close relationship, and James still continues to express awe over her strength and resilience in keeping them afloat during his childhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, you guys know my story, coming from a single parent household, being an only child, my mother was 16 when she had me,\u201d James said. \u201cFor me to be away from her that long, she was like \u2018I\u2019m not leaving Akron. I\u2019m not getting on the plane. I\u2019m not.\u201d<\/p>\n

In May, James shared a picture of him and Gloria sitting next to each other, and thanked her profusely for all she has done for him in his life. He also calls Mother\u2019s Day his favorite day of the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cStill to this day, I don\u2019t know how you did it but damn you did and I\u2019m so grateful and lucky to have you as my mother!\u201d James wrote. \u201cMy angel, my Guardian, my Protector, my Life!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Gloria\u2019s strong will preventing her from leaving Ohio, the three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP plans to reunite with his mother again soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom, she kept me sane, because she said in due time we\u2019ll join back again.\u201d<\/p>\n

That can\u2019t come for several weeks as family and friends are currently barred from the NBA bubble in Disney World. Guests can\u2019t start joining players until after the first round of the playoffs. The NBA, which did not have a single bubble player test positive for coronavirus in results released Monday, begins play at the end of this month with eight seeding game<\/a>s before the playoffs begin..\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
