Apple has banned a dating and friendship app for unvaccinated people from its App Store \u2014 but the so-called \u201cTinder for anti-vaxxers\u201d is still available on Android devices.<\/p>\n

Unjected \u2014 which bills itself as a \u201csafe space for the unvaccinated to come together uncensored through business, friendship or love\u201d \u2014 was banned from Apple\u2019s App Store after Bloomberg asked the company<\/a> for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Apple said that Unjected \u201cinappropriately refers to the COVID-19 pandemic in its comment or theme,\u201d according to emails from the company to Unjected that were shared with The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Unjected remains available<\/a> on Google\u2019s Play Store, where it advertises unsubstantiated claims about COVID-19 vaccines, saying that the vaccines \u201care shedding dangerous spike proteins.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The app was launched by two women from Hawaii in May, shortly after apps like Tinder and Bumble rolled out incentives for users to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n

The app includes features like chat rooms, matches and a directory of businesses that are friendly to unvaccinated people, although the company removed a misinformation-laden \u201csocial<\/a> feed\u201d at Google\u2019s request, co-creator Shelby Thomson, a 27-year-old photographer and mother in Maui, Hawaii told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of Saturday, Unjected also ran an anti-vax Instagram account with nearly 25,000 followers \u2014 but the account had been banned by mid-day on Monday. Thomson is now running another account with fewer followers, she said.<\/p>\n

In July, President Joe Biden slammed social media platforms like Facebook, which owns Instagram, for not doing enough to combat lies about coronavirus vaccines.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re killing people,\u201d Biden said of Facebook, although he later walked back the comments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thomson, who founded the app alongside 37-year-old spa manager and mother Heather Pyle, said she believes Apple, Google and Facebook have unfairly \u201ccensored\u201d her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re being mislabeled as this anti-vax community, which is so not the case,\u201d Thomson said. \u201cWe\u2019re just not pro-mandatory vaccination. It just should be a choice.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Google did not immediately reply to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
