In May, the Bad Boy Records mogul sent <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> into a frenzy when he posted a throwback to when he was dating Jennifer Lopez at the turn of the century.<\/p>\n<p>The timing of the post was interesting, to say the least, with rumors of J. Lo and actor Ben Affleck rekindling the flame just hitting the masses. Diddy addressed the photo in a new interview with<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/style\/2021\/08\/from-puff-daddy-to-diddy-to-love\"> <em>Variety<\/em><\/a> published on Tuesday (August 3) and explained there was no ill will involved.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Diddy posts a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TBT?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TBT<\/a> with Jennifer Lopez <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2MTivd5NCl\">pic.twitter.com\/2MTivd5NCl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Danny Di (@dannydddy) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dannydddy\/status\/1398688417450496009?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 29, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t no trolling involved, that\u2019s just my friend,\u201d he said of the photo recently scrubbed from his Instagram. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t have nothing to say about her relationship or her life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diddy and Lopez dated from the late \u201990s to the early 2000s when their relationship publicly came to an end on Valentine\u2019s Day 2001 after less than two years of dating. The <em>Hustlers<\/em> star ended her engagement with Alex Rodriguez earlier this year and soon began dating Affleck once again in May.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Puffy era was just kind of a crazy, heightened time in my life,\u201d Jennifer Lopez told <em>CBS<\/em> in 2019. \u201cYou know, Puffy and I both grew up in the Bronx. He had been in the music business and had all this success; I was just starting and making my first album when I met him. He became kind of a mentor to me in that moment. Because if you know better, you do better. I\u2019m doing 50\u201350 partnerships with pure transparency. That\u2019s the thing. [The new label is so that] we can own the genre; we don\u2019t own hip-hop right now.
