“#Organized Crime’ Adds Ron Cephas Jones & Vinnie Jones in Recurring Roles<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

With every bit of casting for Law & Order: Organized Crime<\/em> Season 2, we\u2019re more and more intrigued.<\/p>\n

Ron Cephas Jones<\/a> and Vinnie Jones will both recur when the NBC drama returns this fall, Deadline<\/em><\/a> reports. Cephas Jones\u2019 Congressman Leon Kilbride is described as \u201ca born politician who fosters connections and always plays his cards right,\u201d while Jones\u2019 Albi Briscu is \u201can Eastern European gangster who is the last remaining member of the organization from the old country.\u201d<\/p>\n

While we have no idea what that means for Season 2 \u2014 or how Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni<\/a>) and the rest of the unit will cross paths with them \u2014 we do know that the plan is for it to be split into three parts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first third of the season is The Godfather<\/em>. The second third is American Gangster<\/em>. And the last third is Scarface<\/em>,\u201d executive producer Dick Wolf said when looking ahead at the beginning of Season 1. \u201cThese villains are going to be really bad guys that give Chris a constant source of energy, outrage, belief in justice, and a different way of pursuing criminals than we\u2019ve had before.\u201d<\/p>\n

News<\/a> of these two new characters comes after it was revealed that Dylan McDermott, who was a series<\/a> regular as mobster Richard Wheatley in Season 1, is returning in a recurring capacity for eight episodes. He was last seen waiting to stand trial and showed he can still get stuff done behind bars, such as luring Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay<\/a>) to exactly where he wanted her.<\/p>\n

Thanks to social media<\/a> posts, including from Meloni and Danielle Mon\u00e9 Truitt (who plays Sergeant Ayanna Bell), we know that filming has already started on the new season. Unfortunately, we have yet to glimpse anything to tell us of Angela\u2019s (Tamara Taylor<\/a>) fate after her ex-husband, Richard, had her poisoned.<\/p>\n

Cephas Jones\u2019 TV credits include his Emmy<\/a>-winning work on This Is Us<\/em><\/a>, Lisey\u2019s Story<\/em><\/a>, Truth Be Told<\/em><\/a>, Looking for Alaska<\/em><\/a>, and Luke Cage<\/em><\/a>. Jones\u2019 TV credits include NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em><\/a>, Arrow<\/em><\/a>, Deception<\/em><\/a>, MacGyver<\/em><\/a>, and Galavant<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
