Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>\u2019s momma Tina Knowles-Lawson<\/strong> is calling out the Mickey Mouse brand for alleged racism over the singer\u2019s Black Is King <\/em>visuals! On the first anniversary of the musical film\u2019s release on Saturday, Tina took to Instagram<\/strong> with a very passionate \u2014 and frustrated \u2014 message calling out Disney+<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

In a since-deleted caption, the proud mother questioned:<\/p>\n

\u201cI cannot help but wonder if a white man had made it would it not have been promoted the hell out of, and nominated for all kinds of awards.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow! Now that is a bold statement to make against one of the biggest media<\/a> companies ever! Not to mention, Bey\u2019s not some small star \u2014 her leading role in the flick should have brought in a lot of eyes without much promo. Continuing to muse about the film\u2019s lackluster success, Tina reflected:<\/p>\n

\u201cCould it have something to do with the title \u2018Black Is King\u2019 Is that why Disney did not promote it?????? Yes I said it!!! With love\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She isn\u2019t holding anything back! Good for her! Praising her daughter\u2019s work in the visual album, the 67-year-old added:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you have not seen this movie do yourself a favor and see it! It is a beautiful feast for the eyes and ears on Disney + screen it today. It\u2019s a masterpiece.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On why it\u2019s such a \u201cmasterpiece,\u201d the Texan continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe clothing, the makeup, the hair, the cinematography, the dance. Choreography, the storytelling the music.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It was all of these things that helped the film score nominations and award wins, despite the momma insinuating otherwise. In fact, the visuals were up for Best Music Film at the Grammy<\/strong> Awards<\/strong>, where the singer still won Best Music Video for Brown Skin Girl <\/em>and Best R&B Performance for Black Parade<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But even with love from the Beyhive, it just wasn\u2019t enough for this matriarch. She clearly wishes the 39-year-old got more recognition for the project, which coincided with her work on The Lion King: The Gift<\/em>, the soundtrack for the remade animated classic in 2019.<\/p>\n
