The Anime NYC Powered By Crunchyroll<\/strong><\/span> anime convention has officially announced<\/a> an updated attendee policy that comes after\u00a0mayor of New York City\u00a0Bill DeBlasio\u00a0formally announced the adoption of new indoor guidelines on Tuesday. The updated guidelines require\u00a0all indoor\u00a0spaces and venues with scheduled events\u00a0to\u00a0require all who wish to enter valid proof of vaccination through the city’s recently launched\u00a0Excelsior Pass Wallet app<\/a>,\u00a0their phone’s native wallet app, or by\u00a0providing\u00a0alternative forms of valid proof of vaccination against COVID-19 amidst a surge in cases centered around the more contagious Delta variant.<\/p>\n

To that end, Anime NYC\u00a0will require proof of COVID-19\u00a0vaccination and mask usage for all participants. This includes fans, exhibitors, artists, guests, crew, and staff. The convention’s founder\u00a0and\u00a0representative, Peter Tartara has also confirmed that the convention staff has been confirmed as fully vaccinated ahead of the event scheduled for November 19th-21st.
