So ASUS is getting ready for the latest version of Microsoft\u2019s operating system by updating the BIOS of many of its motherboards with\u00a0automatic TPM support.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Automatic_TPM_Support_Matters\"><\/span>Why Automatic TPM Support Matters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Microsoft has decided to make TPM support a requirement for Windows 11. This caused a lot of confusion, as many people realized their computers didn\u2019t have\u00a0the option enabled in the BIOS. If the option was there, it was often labeled something like\u00a0PTT or PSP fTPM, further adding to the confusion.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, many motherboard manufacturers are getting ready for Windows 11 by either adding an option to turn TPM on manually or, in the case of ASUS, turning it on automatically. Many users aren\u2019t comfortable messing with settings in the BIOS, so turning it on by default should create a far better user experience for most people who want to upgrade to Windows 11 and have everything work as expected.<\/p>\n<p>ASUS <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/redirect.viglink.com\/?key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.asus.com%2Fmicrosite%2Fmotherboard%2FASUS-motherboards-Win11-ready%2F\">posted a list of motherboards<\/a> that\u2019ll receive the update, and it\u2019s extensive. Many boards have the update ready to go, but others are still listed as \u201cUnder Testing\u201d as ASUS works to get them ready in time for the Windows 11 launch.
