Tom Cruise<\/strong> is bringing the\u00a0Mission: Impossible<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>crew back to Norway.\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 Fallout<\/em> filmed partially in the\u00a0Nordic country, and Cruise recently told Norway\u2019s culture minister Abid Raja about returning there in the fall to shoot more scenes for\u00a0Mission: Impossible 7<\/em><\/strong>. The upcoming sequel had to suspend filming due to the coronavirus, but the crew was recently granted permission to start shooting again.<\/p>\n

At the end of\u00a0Mission: Impossible \u2013 Fallout<\/em>, Tommy Cruise\u2019s Ethan Hunt does battle with mustachioed Henry Cavill on\u00a0Preikestolen, a cliff in Strand in Rogaland county, Norway. The battle concludes with Cruise hanging off the cliff face and looking very, very tired while also preventing an end-of-the-world situation. And it looks like the\u00a0Impossible<\/em> franchise isn\u2019t through with Norway just yet.<\/p>\n

Chatting with\u00a0Norway\u2019s culture minister Abid Raja (via Deadline), Cruise talked about returning to film some more stuff in the fall. \u201cIt\u2019s a gorgeous country. I can\u2019t wait to get back there,\u201d said Cruise. \u201cI\u2019m very excited, as is the whole crew, about coming back.\u201d Raja added that the latest Mission<\/em> was\u00a0\u201caiming to shoot in north-western Norway, known for its spectacular fjords, mountains, waterfalls and rugged coastline.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, there\u2019s also the coronavirus to take into consideration. Norway has had\u00a09,049 cases of the virus confirmed so far, with 255 deaths. \u201cThe coronavirus means that at the moment it is not possible to come to Norway in the same way as before,\u201d said Raja. \u201cWe will have to discuss this in the government and make regulations for it before we give permission to film in Norway. We will abide by the rules and coronavirus restrictions. I will take my conversation with Cruise to the government.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mission: Impossible 7<\/em> began shooting in Italy earlier this year but had to shut down as the coronavirus broke out. Recently, the production was granted permission to resume shooting in\u00a0England without the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Norway currently has a\u00a010-day quarantine period, and it\u2019s unclear if they\u2019ll allow the production to skip that process as well.<\/p>\n

Directed by\u00a0Christopher McQuarrie<\/strong>,\u00a0Mission: Impossible 7<\/em> is meant to be shot back-to-back with\u00a0Mission: Impossible 8<\/em>. For the seventh entry, Cruise is back with returning franchise faces\u00a0Ving Rhames<\/strong>, Simon Pegg<\/strong>, Rebecca Ferguson<\/strong>, Vanessa Kirby<\/strong>, and\u00a0Henry Czerny<\/strong>, while new cast members include\u00a0Hayley Atwell<\/strong>, Pom Klementieff<\/strong>, Shea Whigham<\/strong>, and\u00a0Esai Morales<\/strong>. The current release date is\u00a0November 19, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
