Jets wide receiver Corey Davis is not always flashy at practice, but he is consistent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Davis had a strong practice on Thursday, connecting with rookie quarterback Zach Wilson repeatedly. Davis, who signed a three-year, $37.5 million deal with the Jets in March, has not gotten as much attention from the media<\/a> as rookie Elijah Moore, but he has impressed the coaches with his professionalism.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a very strong man, in terms of just character and when you talk to him and have a conversation, you know you\u2019re talking to an absolute adult,\u201d Jets coach Robert Saleh said. \u201cHe is the model of efficiency in terms of knowing everything he\u2019s supposed to do, getting off the line of scrimmage, being perfect with his break points, putting his body between the receiver and the quarterbacks so the ball can only get to his hands. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe does such a nice job executing in every facet of football, whether it\u2019s run game<\/a> or pass game, that it doesn\u2019t pop but it\u2019s very, very efficient and very successful. Can\u2019t be thankful enough to have him on this roster. He\u2019s an unbelievable person to have here.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Jets look like they have put together their best wide receiving corps in years with Davis, Moore and Jamison Crowder leading the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Jets have been rotating cornerbacks through the first team over the last few days, as they search for starters there. Undrafted rookie Isaiah Dunn is the latest to get a turn. He played in front of Bless Austin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s earned the right to get a little peek at getting some run with the ones,\u201d Saleh said. \u201cNot an indictment on Bless by any means, but more of a testament to Isaiah earning an opportunity. There\u2019s D-linemen that were given run with the ones to see how they stack up, just to make sure our eyes aren\u2019t fooling us with regards to everything that\u2019s happ<\/a>ening. To give him a different body to go against, so Isaiah stepped in, did a really nice job and we\u2019ll go back to the tape to see how he did.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dunn had an impressive spring and that has continued in training camp. The former Oregon State player has a really good chance of making the team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jets special teams coordinator Brant Boyer spoke Thursday for the first time since the team released kicker Sam Ficken and signed Matt Ammendola to compete with Chris Naggar at the position.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Sam did a great job for us, he really did,\u201d Boyer said. \u201cHe came in a year or two ago and got us out of a pinch, and that\u2019s exactly what we needed. I think the whole building just thought it was time to get a guy in here, another young leg to compete for the job. That\u2019s what it all comes down to, to be honest with you.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
