\n HBO has given a series<\/a> order to \u201cSomebody Somewhere,\u201d a comedy starring and executive produced by \u201cPatti Cake$\u201d star Bridget Everett, from Hannah Bos (HBO\u2019s \u201cHigh Maintenance\u201d), Paul Thureen (\u201cDriveways\u201d), Carolyn Strauss (HBO\u2019s \u201cChernobyl\u201d), Patricia Breen (HBO\u2019s \u201cBetty\u201d) and The Mighty Mint\/Duplass Brothers Productions.<\/p>\n

Created by Bos and Thureen, \u201cSomebody Somewhere\u201d is inspired by the life of comedia<\/a>n and singer Everett and is set in her native Kansas. Sam (played by Everett) is a true Kansan on the surface but beneath it all struggles to fit the hometown mold. As she grapp<\/a>les with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam\u2019s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders that don\u2019t fit in but don\u2019t give up. \u201cSomebody Somewhere\u201d shows finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible. Anywhere. Somewhere.<\/p>\n

Bos and Thureen will executive produce, along with Strauss, Breen and \u201cRoom 104\u2033\u2018s Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, who directed the pilot, Mel Eslyn and Tyler Romary. The Mighty Mint\/Duplass Brothers Productions will produce.<\/p>\n

Everett recently co-starred in the HBO series \u201cCamping\u201d and can next be seen in Tate Taylor\u2019s \u201cBreaking News<\/a> In Yuba County\u201d opposite Allison Janney, Mila Kunis, and Regina Hall, and produced by Jake Gyllenhaal. Everett\u2019s other credits include \u201cFun Mom Dinner,\u201d Judd Apatow\u2019s \u201cTrainwreck,\u201d HBO\u2019s \u201cGirls,\u201d \u201cInside Amy Schumer,\u201d \u201c2 Broke Girls,\u201d \u201cUnbelievable,\u201d \u201cLady Dynamite,\u201d \u201cAJ And The Queen\u201d and \u201cLiving With Yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everett and her band, The Tender Moments, perform regularly to sold-out crowds. Their album, \u201cPound It,\u201d is available now on iTunes. Everett also recently starred in the hit off-Broadway show \u201cRock Bottom\u201d at the Public Theater in New York.<\/p>\n
