“#CNN goes viral as Chris Cuomo tosses to Don Lemon’s NY governor coverage<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

CNN\u2019s Chris Cuomo is going viral for his painfully awkward handover to network host Don Lemon \u2014 who then immedia<\/a>tely reported on the sexual harassment scandal threatening to bring down his colleague\u2019s brother.<\/p>\n

Cuomo went the whole of his hour-long \u201cCuomo Prime Time\u201d episode Tuesday night without a peep on the damning probe findings into his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo \u2014 even as the news<\/a> ticker made it clear it was the day\u2019s biggest story.<\/p>\n

Cuomo \u2014 who was named in the report for his role advising his brother \u2014 even avoided it as he handed over his show to Lemon, suggesting that his \u201cDon Lemon Tonight\u201d would focus on the Jan. 6 siege of the Capitol.<\/p>\n

Yeah, it was super awkward<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what? I love you, brother,\u201d Lemon told Cuomo, who replied, \u201cI love you D. Lemon.\u201d<\/p>\n

After smiling, Lemon immediately started his show by saying that, \u201cThe calls are getting louder and louder \u2026 calling on Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat in the wake of the bombshell report from the state\u2019s attorney general<\/a> that alleges the governor sexually harassed 11 women, including state employees and a New York state trooper,\u201d Lemon said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the president of the United States couldn\u2019t be more blunt. Question: Should Governor Andrew Cuomo resign? Answer: Yes,\u201d Lemon said, pulling no punches in his coverage that lasted much of his show.<\/p>\n

Clips of the awkward handover quickly spread online, with numerous people calling it \u201csuper awkward.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThat was tough to watch,\u201d one person tweeted<\/a>, while another viewer even jokingly offered \u201ccounseling sessions\u201d <\/a>to help \u201cmake their friendship great again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many marveled at Lemon\u2019s smile before cutting to the blunt news about his close friend\u2019s brother.<\/p>\n

\u201cLove ya brother \u2026 SPEAKING of brothers, tonight\u2019s top story!\u201d one person quipped<\/a> of the exchange, while another summed it up<\/a> as, \u201c\u2018I love you brother\u2019 \u2026 stabs his brother [in] the back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s creepier: the fact that this happ<\/a>ened, or that Lemon doesn\u2019t seem to be breaking a sweat or feeling any angst during the transition to knifing the other Cuomo 5 seconds later. He\u2019s like upbeat,\u201d another viewer wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chris Cuomo had been mentioned in Tuesday\u2019s damning report for his role advising his governor brother in responding to the growing allegations by at least 11 women.<\/p>\n
