In fact, <em>Peacemaker<\/em> might give us <em>much<\/em> more, because this could be an ongoing series.<span id=\"more-691798\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Peacemaker_Differs_from_The_Suicide_Squad\"><\/span>How Peacemaker Differs from The Suicide Squad<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-features\/suicide-squad-james-gunn-peacemaker-guardians-3-1234993608\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> spoke to James Gunn about anything and everything regarding <em>The Suicide Squad<\/em> and his future with DC Comics projects. When conversation came around to <em>Peacemaker<\/em>, Gunn teased what\u2019s in store for fans:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere are a lot of similarities to <em>The Suicide Squad<\/em> in that it\u2019s no holds barred, but there are also a lot of things that are very different, in that it\u2019s quieter in some ways. It\u2019s very specifically about a different group of people, so it\u2019s a little bit more about society.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><em>Peacemaker<\/em> will differ from <em>The Suicide Squad<\/em> in its approach to the characters. Without a massive ensemble to worry about, Gunn can dig more into Peacemaker and one of the other show\u2019s lead characters. The director explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOne of the leads is Peacemaker and one of the leads is <strong>Danielle Brooks<\/strong>, who plays Leota Adebayo. And she has a very different political view of the world than Peacemaker does. So it\u2019s just a little bit about what\u2019s going on in the world, but also being a TV show, you really do have more time to delve much deeper into these characters and much more deeply into the drama and comedy of them. So it has a lot of similarities [to The Suicide Squad], but it\u2019s even more grounded, more natural and more real. But it\u2019s still within a big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a>-fiction storyline that lasts for one season.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Peacemaker and Leota Adebayo aren\u2019t the only characters who we\u2019ll dig into throughout the series. Characters played by <strong>Steve Agree<\/strong> and <strong>Jennifer Holland<\/strong> will also have key roles. Gunn explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cJohn Economos and Emilia Harcourt are part of the main six of the Peacemaker show, and it\u2019s been so fun working with those guys. They\u2019re obviously two of the closest people in the world to me. So it\u2019s been just as fun as The Suicide Squad. The filmmaker went on: \u201cThe main storyline lasts for that season, so that doesn\u2019t mean there\u2019s only one season of <em>Peacemaker<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can bet that if <em>The Suicide Squad<\/em> is a big hit and <em>Peacemaker<\/em> follows in the same footsteps, HBO Max will want to keep <em>Peacemaker<\/em> going for as many seasons as they can. Plus, James Gunn is already working on some other possible DC Comics projects to follow up on once he\u2019s done with <em>Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3<\/em> at Marvel Studios.
