\u201cSeventy-four thousand documents, 200 interviews, 168 pages and five months after\u201d state Attorney General<\/a> Tish James began her probe of Gov. Cuomo, \u201cinvestigators managed to corroborate nearly every detail of the flurry of allegations,\u201d confirming \u201cwhat nearly a dozen women told us from the start: Cuomo is hot garbage,\u201d blasts The Nation\u2019s Alexis Grenell<\/a>. Besides verifying \u201cclaims of disgusting comments and forcible touching, they caught the governor in various lies, both big and small.\u201d He even lied \u201cabout not knowing the lyrics to a song, which was easily disproved by audiotapes.\u201d And in his prerecorded response, \u201cWell-lit and wearing make-up \u2014 possibly supplied to him by his brother, who\u2019s been moonlighting as a crisis PR consultant while pretending to be a journalist on CNN \u2014 he gave a master class in gaslighting.\u201d Touting his \u201cside hustle as a rape crisis counselor in his own family,\u201d Cuomo gallingly \u201cpeddled the fallacy that his only crime was caring too much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Libertarian: Blas\u2019 Vax Tyranny<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mayor de Blasio\u2019s plan \u201cto create a class of citizens barred from civic life is an intolerable imposition on New Yorkers\u2019 liberties,\u201d fumes Reason\u2019s Brian Doherty<\/a>. Making it illegal for those without \u201cproof of vaccination to work at or be customers of the city\u2019s gyms, entertainment venues and indoor restaurants is a grotesquely unconstitutional tyranny\u201d that violates \u201cliberty of movement, commerce and association.\u201d That \u201cthe vaccinated also can transmit the virus makes the purely punitive nature of his power grab all the more clear.\u201d New York\u2019s daily average death toll \u201cinspiring de Blasio\u2019s tyranny\u201d has been \u201cfour a day over the past week.\u201d Our \u201cpolitical class\u2019 attempts to pretend\u201d to run a \u201crisk-free\u201d society get \u201cdarker and more insane by the week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Media<\/a> watch: Burying Cuomo\u2019s Accusers<\/strong><\/p>\n

The report \u201cdetailing multiple, corroborated sexual-harassment charges against\u201d Gov. Cuomo \u201cquickly dominated headlines,\u201d but most media had buried the original accusations, notes Fox News\u2019 Lindsay Kornick<\/a>. When Lindsey Boylan accused Cuomo of sexual harassment in December, ABC, CBS and NBC were silent \u2014 as was CNN, which waited until February and then gave the story just 39 seconds. That\u2019s in sharp contrast \u201cwith the mainstream media\u2019s reaction to sexual-assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.\u201d Those networks and others also ignored Cuomo\u2019s sixth accuser: the former aide who\u2019s now made a criminal complaint about his alleged groping.<\/p>\n

Progressive: Adams vs. Socialism<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eric Adams thinks he represents the Democratic Party\u2019s future \u2014 which means going \u201cto war with the socialist left,\u201d writes Ross Barkan at his Substack<\/a>. \u201cAll across the country, the DSA socialists are mobilizing to stop Eric Adams,\u201d the mayor-in-waiting declared. He poses a threat to the Democratic Socialists trying to take over the mainstream left, Barkan says: He\u2019s a black NYPD officer who app<\/a>eals to \u201cworking-class black and Latino New York, along with a mix of white moderates,\u201d and struck \u201cat something of a soft underbelly of the socialist left: public safety.\u201d Still, many of Adams\u2019 working-class voters rely on the safety net, and unless he delivers concretely for them, the \u201cDSA will keep winning elections.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tech desk: \u2018Social Credit\u2019 Is Here<\/strong><\/p>\n

Big Tech is fast unveiling \u201cpredecessors to what effectively could become a soft social-credit system by the end of this decade,\u201d warns Kristin Tate at The Hill<\/a>. China has already established one, \u201ca combination of government and business surveillance that gives citizens a \u2018score\u2019 that can restrict the ability of individuals to take actions \u2014 such as purchasing plane tickets, acquiring property or taking loans.\u201d America\u2019s tech giants are taking similar steps; witness PayPal\u2019s partnership with the Anti-Defamation League to identify and defund \u201cextremist\u201d groups and Facebook\u2019s encouraging of users to \u201csnitch\u201d on friends with \u201canti-government\u201d views. Beware: \u201cThe growth of such restrictions, which will only accelerate with support from (usually) left-wing politicians, could create a system in which individuals who do not hold certain political views could be blocked from polite society and left unable to make a living.\u201d <\/p>\n
