“#NYPD cops help save infant while investigating robbery<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Three cops are being hailed for saving an unconscious infant whose dad flagged them down while the officers were investigating a burglary in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

The officers tended to the 5-month-old boy in the city\u2019s 84th Precinct \u2014 which is tasked with patrolling Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill and Vinegar Hill \u2014 until medics came to the scene, police said Friday. The baby then made a \u201cfull recovery,\u201d according to the Police Department.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile investigating a burglary yesterday afternoon, Police Officers Reis, Bates, and Keller were informed by a passerby that a father was holding an unconscious 5-month-old,\u201d Chief of Department Rodney Harrison said Friday afternoon in a tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe officers immedia<\/a>tely sprung into action and began to render aid to the infant until further medical assistance arrived.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese officer\u2019s actions helped save the infant\u2019s life and he has made a full recovery. Keep up the excellent work and stay safe!\u201d<\/p>\n

A short clip of bodycam footage posted on Harrison\u2019s account shows one of the officers holding the child while on a sidewalk, asking an unidentified man, \u201cIs he choking, was he eating anything?\u201d as the other cops look on close by.<\/p>\n

The man responds, \u201cHe wasn\u2019t eating anything right now. I just took him out.\u201d<\/p>\n

A city police union praised the trio of cops\u2019 live-saving effort.<\/p>\n
