As the Dave Grohl-fronted band continues its national tour, the rockers have encountered some surprises \u2014 including a postponed concert, fighting off anti-vaxxers and a guest app<\/a>earance from Dave Chappelle. <\/p>\n

The latest surprise involves the Westboro Baptist Church protesting the band\u2019s Aug. 5 show in Bonner Springs, Kan. The protestors were standing outside of the Azura Amphitheater, waving an array of signs that read \u201cNo Peace for the Wicked\u201d and \u201cGod Hates Your Idols.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the ultimate troll, the band drove up in a flatbed truck each sporting Bee Gees influenced outfits \u2014 inspired by their new alter egos the \u201cDee Gees<\/a>,\u201d the tour\u2019s latest gimmick<\/p>\n

Grohl, 52, addressed the crowd right before the band covered the Bee Gees\u2019 \u201cYou Should Be Dancing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLadies and gentlemen, I got something to say,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause you know what? I love you! I do. The way I look at it, I love everybody. Isn\u2019t that what you\u2019re supposed to do? Can\u2019t you just love everybody? Because I think it\u2019s about love. That\u2019s what I think. I deliver all of my love, and you shouldn\u2019t be hating. You know what you should be doing? You should be dancing!\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of their tour, the Foo Fighters \u2014 under the alias \u201cDee Gees<\/a>\u201d \u2014 recorded their most recent album, \u201cHail Satin<\/a>,\u201d which featured their lighthearted covers of Bee Gees songs.<\/p>\n

Grohl and his bandmates are no strangers to Westboro Baptist Church protests. A decade ago, similar to the most recent confrontation, the band performed an impromptu flatbed concert<\/a> to troll protesters. Then again in 2015, the band pulled a gag on protestors in Kansas City when the group Rickrolled the crowd<\/a>, eventually drowning out chants and subsequently creating a \u201cgiant dance party.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the latest showdown, it\u2019s safe to say the Foo Fighters are three for three against the Westboro Baptist Church protestors.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
