Cases for the novel coronavirus continue to rise due to the highly transmissible Delta variant, which now makes up more than half of all new COVID-19 cases in the U.S.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       The government-run U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has stated it is <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/wysk\/what-you-should-know-about-covid-19-and-ada-rehabilitation-act-and-other-eeo-laws\" class=\"icon none\">legal under federal law for companies to require their workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine<\/a>, with a few exceptions related to other health complications, pregnancy and religious beliefs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See also: Jeff Bezos is no longer the richest person on the planet after his net worth drops $13.9 billion in one day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some employees who have filed lawsuits against their employers over vaccine rules have been unsuccessful. These are \u201cnot very strong legal arguments,\u201d Allison Hoffman, a law professor at the University of Pennsylvania, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Business\/covid-19-vaccine-policies-triggered-lawsuits-workplace-showdowns\/story?id=78204107\" class=\"icon none\">recently claimed<\/a>. Some employees, like one sheriff in North Carolina, were terminated for refusing to comply with an employer\u2019s vaccine policy, and were terminated. The lawsuit is pending in federal court, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Business\/covid-19-vaccine-policies-triggered-lawsuits-workplace-showdowns\/story?id=78204107\" class=\"icon none\">ABC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of U.S. companies that are mandating at least some of their workforce get vaccinated against COVID-19:<\/p>\n<p><strong>BlackRock<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beginning next month, BlackRock Inc.<br \/>\n        BLK,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207946232\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.77%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       will only allow vaccinated employees to work in their offices.<\/p>\n<p>BlackRock changed its vaccine policy after employees said they would\u00a0feel\u00a0better if their colleagues in the office were vaccinated, according to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-06-17\/blackrock-to-allow-vaccinated-staff-to-return-to-office-in-july\" class=\"icon none\">Bloomberg report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disney<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>The Walt Disney Corporation<br \/>\n        DIS,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203410047\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.24%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       says it will mandate vaccinations for all \u201csalaried and non-union hourly employees\u201d based in the U.S. who are working on site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVaccines are the best tool we all have to help control this global pandemic and protect our employees,\u201d Disney said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs our offices reopen, we will be requiring anyone coming to work at any of our U.S. campuses to be vaccinated,\u201d Facebook\u2019s<br \/>\n        FB,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205064656\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.15%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n        <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dani_Lever\/status\/1420486108769619970\" class=\"icon none\">People VP Lori Goler <\/a>said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also see:<\/strong> Costco, Kroger, Target, Walmart and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le change mask policies, as CDC warns about rise in delta variant<\/p>\n<p><strong>Google<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google<br \/>\n        GOOG,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205453964\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.07%<\/bg-quote><\/p>\n<p>        GOOGL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202490156\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.38%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       sent a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.google\/inside-google\/company-announcements\/vaccines-and-our-return-to-office-plans\" class=\"icon none\">note<\/a>\u00a0to employees last week that the company will be extending its work-from-home policy to Oct. 18.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, all workers who are planning to go back to Google offices in October must be vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jefferies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jefferies<br \/>\n        JEF,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/206157580\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.78%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n      \u00a0Financial Group\u00a0will soon only allow vaccinated employees in their offices, according to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jefferies.com\/Letters\/ltr\/1647\/07292021\" class=\"icon none\">memo from the company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe require that, after Labor Day, anyone who is not fully vaccinated should continue to work from home,\u201d company executives Rich Handler and Brian Friedman wrote.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lyft<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ride sharing company has postponed its return to office plans from September to February 2022. Lyft<br \/>\n        LYFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/208999293\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.04%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       CEO Logan Green says it will require employees to provide proof of vaccination upon re-entering the company\u2019s offices.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to Uber, Lyft\u2019s vaccine mandate does not apply to Lyft drivers. Both ride-sharing companies have offered discounted or free rides to vaccination sites in parts of the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Microsoft<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of September, Microsoft<br \/>\n        MSFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207732364\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.02%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       will require employees, vendors and guests to show proof of vaccination upon entering company facilities in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we have done since the beginning of the pandemic, we continue to closely track new developments and adapt our plans as this situation evolves, keeping employee health and safety top of mind,\u201d the company said in a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BobbyAllyn\/status\/1422566808616247302\" class=\"icon none\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morgan Stanley<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Investment bank and financial services company Morgan Stanley<br \/>\n        MS,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209104354\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.94%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       is also making vaccines a requirement for in-person employees, but with a slight adjustment. <\/p>\n<p>The company will also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/morgan-stanley-requires-employees-to-get-vaccinated-before-going-to-the-office-11624462581?mod=article_inline\" class=\"icon none\">not allow any clients who have not been vaccinated to enter its headquarters<\/a> in New York City.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Netflix<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/07\/netflix-to-require-covid-vaccinations-for-all-actors-on-us-productions-1234801577\/\" class=\"icon none\">Deadline<\/a>, Netflix<br \/>\n        NFLX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202353025\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.83%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       will soon require vaccinations for people working in \u201cZone A,\u201d which consists of actors and in-person production staff. It\u2019s unclear if Netflix\u2019s corporate offices will also follow this reported vaccine mandate.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix did not immediately respond to MarketWatch\u2019s request to comment on this story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saks Fifth Avenue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Luxury department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue is requiring all in-person staff get vaccinated, according to a report from the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/05\/19\/business\/saks-return-to-office.html\" class=\"icon none\">New York Times<\/a><br \/>\n        NYT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202090840\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.85%<\/bg-quote><span>.<\/span>\n      <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to be much more office-based,\u201d CEO Marc Metrick told the Times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Washington Post<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Employees at The Washington Post will soon be required to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination as a \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/washington-post-mandate-covid-19-vaccinations-reporters-staff-2021-07-27\/\" class=\"icon none\">condition of employment,<\/a>\u201d according to Publisher Fred Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>The company is planning on reopening all offices three days a week on Sept. 13. Contractors and guests entering the offices will also be required to show proof of vaccination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See also: LeBron James is a billionaire \u2014 the first U.S. team sport athlete to do it while still playing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Twitter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twitter<br \/>\n        TWTR,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203180645\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-2.76%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       closed both its San Francisco and New York offices in July as COVID-19 cases in those areas began to spike.<\/p>\n<p>The social media giant previously said it would allow employees to work remotely on a permanent basis if they want, and require proof of vaccination for employees returning to the office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tyson Foods<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tyson Foods Inc.<br \/>\n        TSN,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/201117502\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.40%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n        has informed its U.S. workforce that it will require vaccinations by Nov. 1 \u2014 the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/tyson-foods-to-require-covid-19-vaccines-for-all-u-s-workers-11627992022?mod=article_inline\" class=\"icon none\">Tyson employs about 120,000 people in the United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The company is based in Arkansas, which has one of the lower vaccination rates of any U.S. state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uber<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uber<br \/>\n        UBER,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/211348248\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.81%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       CEO Dara Khosrowshahi wrote to employees on Thursday saying the company will require workers going back to its offices on Oct. 25 to be fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that this ruling impacts workers at Uber\u2019s offices but not those who drive for Uber. Uber still has regulations in place that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/us\/en\/safety\/\" class=\"icon none\">mandate masks for all of their drivers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>United Airlines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Leaders for Untied Airlines<br \/>\n        UAL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205037281\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.80%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       are asking U.S. employees to get vaccinated by October.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know some of you will disagree with this decision to require the vaccine for all United employees,\u201d CEO Scott Kirby and President Brett Hart told employees Friday.
