House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that she had better things to do than attend former President Barack Obama\u2019s extravagant 60th birthday celebration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t go. I had other parties to go to,\u201d Pelosi (D-Calif.) replied when asked about Obama\u2019s birthday bash on Martha\u2019s Vineyard, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Pelosi had just attended a church service Sunday morning when Kevin Blake, who was visiting the area from Connecticut, asked her about the party before thanking the veteran Democratic politician for \u201ckeeping the Republicans in line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pelosi and Blake, a 61-year-old lawyer, then posed for a picture. <\/p>\n

Obama\u2019s party \u2014 originally slated to have a nearly 500-person guest list along with 200 workers \u2014 at the posh Winnetu Ocean Resort was \u201cscaled back\u201d due to the recent rise in cases of the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19. <\/p>\n

A Pelosi aide told The Post she was on Martha\u2019s Vineyard to attend \u201cprivate events in support of House Democrats\u201d \u2014 and not for Obama\u2019s party. <\/p>\n

Attendees of the former president\u2019s affair included George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce and Jay-Z. Other A-list celebrities rumored to have partied it up with the president included Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Hudson, Bradley Cooper, Don Cheadle, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Erykah Badu and Steven Colbert.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
