The Yankees leaned on their ability to come back to win the first three game<\/a>s of their series<\/a> against the Mariners.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Sunday, their offense stayed dormant for a full nine innings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Yankees had plenty of chances to change that but could never come up with the big hit, snapp<\/a>ing their five-game winning streak with a 2-0 loss to the Mariners in The Bronx.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Missing one of their big bats in Anthony Rizzo, who tested positive for COVID-19 after Saturday\u2019s game, the Yankees mustered six hits, went 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Yankees twice brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth inning, but DJ LeMahieu grounded out and Aaron Judge struck out looking to end the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Luke Voit, who was activated off the injured list before the game to replace Rizzo, had a rough first day back. He went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, leaving the bases loaded in the third inning and stranding two more runners with a pop-out in the fifth.\u00a0<\/p>\n
