The notoriously mouthy bad boy of \u201cSNL\u201d treated his hometown to a private screening of his new movie \u201cThe Suicide Squad\u201d over the weekend. <\/p>\n

Pete Davidson, 27, rented out Staten Island\u2019s entire Atrium Stadium Cinema on Saturday so his fans could watch him co-star as Richard Hertz \u2014\u00a0aka Blackguard \u2014 in the critically acclaimed reboot of the DC Comics property.<\/p>\n

The S.I. native \u2014 who is infamous for trash-talking his native borough but still lives there \u2014 booked two showings at 7:20 p.m. and 8 p.m., and all fans had to do to get in was to declare themselves \u201cfriends\u201d of the B.D.E. legend<\/a> to get in.<\/p>\n

Atrium owner Gregg Scarola hailed Davidson as \u201ca really cool guy\u201d in an interview with the actor-comedia<\/a>n\u2019s beloved hometown news<\/a> outlet the Staten Island Advance, also known as SILive.com<\/p>\n

\u2018It was all Pete\u2019s idea, he reached out to us saying he wanted to give back to the community,\u201d Scarola told the local outlet<\/a>. \u201cHe grew up in this community and it means a lot for him to reach out to us \u2014 a local theatre \u2014 not just a chain. Not enough has been said about what he does for the community, he\u2019s a really cool guy.\u2019<\/p>\n

Davidson fans found out about the secret screening via the venue\u2019s official Instagram account: \u201cStaten Island comedian, @nbcsnl star and latest @thesuicidesquad villain #PeteDavidson wants to take you to the movies<\/a>!,\u201d the post hyped<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cCome see The Suicide Squad at Pete\u2019s hometown movie theater #AtriumStadiumCinemas Saturday, August. 7,\u201d the venue\u2019s unabashedly giddy post continued. \u201cThose who want to see the film FOR FREE must be present at the theater on Saturday, August 7 and say they\u2019re \u2018Friends of Pete\u2019 at the box office. Tickets cannot be reserved beforehand, or online. Start lining up for 5 p.m. (and don\u2019t forget to take a theater selfie & send it to us!) [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

The film\u2019s controversial director James Gunn, 55, also got in on the act, touting the special \u201cgift for Staten Island residents from Pete Davidson.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davidson\u2019s relationship with his native borough has been tense in the past, with local activists slamming the \u201cKing of Staten Island\u201d star for labeling his fellow Staten Islanders as \u201cbabies\u201d for balking at COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, among a host of other character critiques over the years. <\/p>\n

Still, he app<\/a>ears to remain dedicated to the so-called \u201cforgotten borough.\u201d Davidson officially moved out<\/a>\u00a0of his mother\u2019s basement and purchased his own luxury condo on S.I. for $1.2 million \u2014 just before the new year, The Post reported in April.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The move came four years after he\u00a0snagged a $1.3 million<\/a>\u00a0Staten Island abode in 2016 for his mom, Amy Waters. Davidson, 27, had been living in the basement of the home until December, when he moved into a high-rise.<\/p><\/div>\n
