They\u2019re stand-up guys. <\/p>\n

Comedia<\/a>ns Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson are commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in a big way \u2014 by hosting a comedy benefit in New York City with proceeds going to various 9\/11 charities. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to put on a fun celebration to honor this great city\u2019s resilience,\u201d the two funnymen said in a joint statement regarding the show, which will take place Sept. 12 at Madison Square Garden, Variety reported.<\/a> \u201cIt\u2019s nice to be able to do this with friends and people we love.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedy commemoration, entitled \u201cNYC Still Rising After 20 Years: A Comedy Celebration,\u201d will feature an all-star lineup of comics, including Amy Schumer, Bill Burr, Colin Jost, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Dave Chapp<\/a>elle, Jay Pharoah, Jimmy Fallon, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Ronny Chieng, Tom Segura and Wanda Sykes. <\/p>\n

However, the charity bash is especially personal for Stewart and Davidson. \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum Davidson lost his father in the attacks when he was 7, while Stewart helped push the 9\/11 Victim Compensation Fund, which benefits people who got sick from toxic dust after the World Trade Center collapse. Meanwhile, on Sept. 9, the ex-\u201cThe Daily Show\u201d host is releasing a documentary about the aftermath of the attacks, entitled \u201cNo Responders Left Behind\u201d on Discovery+, Deadline reported.<\/a><\/p>\n

In order to attend the benefit, visitors must provide proof that they\u2019ve received the COVID-19 vaccine. <\/p>\n

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster starting Wednesday, Aug. 11, at noon ET until Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. ET, while general<\/a> tickets go on sale Aug. 13 at noon ET.<\/p><\/div>\n
