In the weirdest and most surprising collaboration this summer, the\u00a0Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei<\/strong><\/em> Japanese only gacha game will be collaborating<\/span><\/a> with the visual novel Clannad<\/strong><\/em> (which is probably best known for its anime<\/a> adaptation produced by Kyoto Animation<\/strong>). While not much is known about the collaboration at the moment, a trailer with some key art featuring characters from the two franchises was released.<\/p>\n

The collaboration begins on August 13 and will only be available in\u00a0Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei<\/strong><\/em>, which is only available from Japanese mobile App<\/a> Stores and only available to play in Japanese. Higurashi Mei<\/strong><\/em> is an RPG game where you can roll for characters from the series<\/a> to join your team, it’s likely that the Clannad<\/strong> characters will be summoned this way as well.<\/p>\n

The current Higurashi<\/strong><\/em> anime series,\u00a0Higurashi: When They Cry \u2013 SOTSU<\/strong><\/em> is airing on Japanese TV this season and streaming on Funimation.<\/p>\n
