The special is currently set to be filmed at the Gramercy Theatre in New York on September 5. The release date is unspecified, but is expected for late this year.<\/p>\n<p>In the announcement statement, Byer said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->\u201cI\u2019m so f**king excited to do this. I\u2019m so grateful that Netflix is giving me a nice lil platform to have some fun tee hee hee.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That Byer doesn\u2019t already have a comedy special comes as a surprise: she\u2019s best known for her comedic abilities and personality-based performances. She brings humor to a wide variety of roles in various\u00a0reality TV shows, podcasts, and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ed roles.<\/p>\n<p>Host extraordinaire, Byer leads the charge on multiple podcasts, including <em>Why Won\u2019t You Date Me?<\/em> and Earwolf\u2019s <em>Best Friends<\/em>, but you likely know her as the host of the Netflix baking-comedy competition <strong><em>Nailed It!<\/em><\/strong> Her magnetic hosting performance most recently earned her an Emmy nomination for \u201cOutstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.\u201d Byer is the first Black woman ever nominated in the category.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Netflix <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, Byer also co-hosts <strong><em>Wipeout<\/em><\/strong> with <strong>John Cena<\/strong>. Season 6 of <em>Nailed It!<\/em> is set to premiere not too long after her special is filmed, airing on September 15, 2021. Also in the works is<em><strong> Grand Crew,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0a scripted comedy that stars Byer, along with Echo Kellum, Justin Cunningham, Carl Tart, and Aaron Jennings. The series follows a group of Black friends u<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">npacking the ups and downs of their love and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> lives as a wine bar. Behind the series is <em>Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em> co-creator Dan Goor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Byer also has two films currently in the works. <em>Hangover<\/em> alum<strong> Debra Neil-Fisher<\/strong> makes her directorial debut with <em><strong>Unplugging<\/strong><\/em>. The film follows a couple of reconnecting through a digital detox in a remote town. Thanks to strong edibles and bizarre locals, their romantic getaway doesn\u2019t go as expected. Byer appears in the film alongside Matt Walsh, Eva Longoria, Lea Thompson, Keith David, and Al Madrigal.<\/p>\n<p>Byer also plays a role in the upcoming comedy\u00a0<em><strong>Mack &amp; Rita<\/strong><\/em>, about a 30-year-old woman who takes a dip in a pool only to emerge in the body of a 70-year old.
