“#Jennifer Lopez to perform at Global Citizen Live in Central Park<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Jennifer Lopez is heading back to her block \u2014 or close to it \u2014 to perform at the Global Citizen Live event in New York City on Sept. 25. <\/p>\n

The Bronx-born trip<\/a>le threat will be one of the performers taking the stage from Central Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Lopez\u2019s involvement in Global Citizen Live<\/a> is a wonderful progression from our partnership during the Vax Live campaign, event, and primetime broadcast,\u201d Katie Hill, senior vice president of Global Citizen, said in a press release. \u201cWith her help, we were able to secure 26 million Covid-19 vaccine doses but our work for vaccine equity continues as the pandemic continues to spread.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to welcome\u00a0Jennifer Lopez\u00a0to our Central Park stage on September 25th to continue our impact together,\u201d Hill added.<\/p>\n

Lopez, 52, replied to Global Citizen\u2019s Instagram post announcing the news<\/a>, writing, \u201cCan\u2019t wait! See you soon NYC!\u201d (No word yet on whether newly rekindled boyfriend Ben Affleck<\/a> will be on hand.) <\/p>\n

The festival is timed to the UN General<\/a> Assembly scheduled for late September. Besides New York, Global Citizen Live will present events from cities including Lagos,\u00a0Rio de Janeiro,\u00a0London,\u00a0Seoul,\u00a0Los Angeles,\u00a0Sydney and more. The event will call on governments and corporations to help defend the planet, defeat poverty,\u00a0combat climate change, provide vaccine equity\u00a0and conquer\u00a0famine. <\/p>\n

Other performers set to appear<\/a> from across the world include just-announced Shawn Mendes<\/a>, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, BTS, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Andrea Bocelli, Metallica, Lorde, Doja Cat, Keith Urban, Usher, H.E.R., Duran Duran, Femi Kuti, Lang Lang, Demi Lovato, Ricky Martin and more.<\/p>\n

Guests and attendees will be required to be vaccinated and masked for the duration of the concert. If one is not able to be vaccinated, they must be able to show a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the show. <\/p>\n

The event will air live on ABC, BBC, FX, iHeartRadio, Hulu, YouTube<\/a> and Twitter.<\/p>\n

The \u201cHustlers\u201d actress previously joined the VaxLive concert in May when she performed at Los Angeles\u2019 SoFi Stadium. She sang a cover of Neil Diamond\u2019s \u201cSweet Caroline,\u201d as well as her hit \u201cAin\u2019t Your Mama.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
