Video\" allowtransparency=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" class=\"wistia_embed\" name=\"wistia_embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\" msallowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The new rules mandated that significant social media intermediaries \u2014 platforms with more than 5 million users \u2014 need to have\u00a0<span>had to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>oint a nodal officer, a compliance officer, and a\u00a0<\/span><span>grievance officer residing in India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While the company had an interim grievance officer based in India, there were no other permanent hires made until last month. In July, the social network appointed Vinay Prakash as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/tech\/technology\/twitter-names-vinay-prakash-as-resident-grievance-officer-for-india\/articleshow\/84311359.cms\">the resident grievance officer<\/a>. Plus, it has also appointed a nodal officer and a compliance officer in the last couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter__right\" data-qa=\"message_content\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__blocks c-message_kit__blocks--rich_text\">\n<div class=\"c-message__message_blocks c-message__message_blocks--rich_text\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer\" data-qa=\"block-kit-renderer\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper--first\">\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_block\" dir=\"auto\">Employees in those positions would likely be tasked with tackling public concerns raised about content hosted on the platform, as well as moves like blocking users or content.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Twitter faced a lot of scrutiny for not complying with the new IT rules over the past few months, and at one point, it also faced the danger of losing its safe harbor protection.
