He was 94 years old.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ladd helped first bring <em><strong>Tetsuwan Atom<\/strong><\/em> to North America in 1963, transforming it into the <em><strong>Astro Boy\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>version\u00a0audiences would grow to know, as well as becoming the first anime to air in North America. Ladd would also go on to bring over and produce <em><strong>Gigantor<\/strong><\/em> (originally titled <strong><em>Tetsujin 28<\/em><\/strong>) in 1964 and <em><strong>Kimba the White Lion<\/strong><\/em> (originally titled <em><strong>Jungle Taitei<\/strong><\/em>) in 1966. Ladd would <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.awn.com\/mag\/issue1.5\/articles\/deneroffladd1.5.html\">also later act<\/a> as a creative consultant for the DiC Entertainment dub of <em><strong>Sailor Moon<\/strong><\/em>.\u2028\u2028<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ladd was born on February 19, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio.
