Anime<\/a> producer and Actas president Shunpei Maruyama recently revealed\u00a0that the upcoming Princess Principal: Crown Handler Chapter 2<\/em> movie has finished production.<\/span><\/p>\n

As spotted by Otakomu<\/a>, Maruyama tweeted on August 9 at 4:34PM (GMT+8) that \u201cPrincess Principal: Crown Handler Chapter 2\u00a0<\/em>was completed a short while ago\u201d and thanked the staff and production members for their hard work. The movie received a trailer in July and is set to premiere on September 23.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Princess Principal: Crown Handler<\/em>\u00a0Chapter 2<\/em>\u00a0is the second of six movies<\/a> that serve as sequels to the 2017\u00a0Princess Principal\u00a0<\/em>series. The original series follows a team of spies in an alternate 19th century where the Kingdom of Albion is divided into East and West by a giant wall. Meanwhile, HiDive describes the first movie as:<\/span><\/p>\n

Control \u2014 the Commonwealth\u2019s covert ops group \u2014 suspects a double agent within the Kingdom\u2019s royal family and dispatches Ange and the rest of \u201cTeam White Pigeon\u201d to discover the truth.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

As with the first movie, the staff for the second movie includes Masaki Tachibana as director, Kimitake Nishio as chief animation director, Nishio and Yukie Akiya as character designers, Miho Sugiura as art director, Y\u016b Wakabayashi as photography director, Y\u016bko Tsumori as color designer, and Yuki Kajiura as music composer. Actas is in charge of the animation production.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The cast includes Aoi Koga as Ange, Akira Sekine as Princess, Y\u014d Taichi as Dorothy, Akara Kageyama as Beatrice, and Nozomi Furuki as Chise. Aoi Koga took over the role of Ange for the movies due to the original voice actor, Ayaka Imamura, retiring in 2018 over health concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n
