“#Stacey Farber Teases Leslie and Lois’ Season 1 Finale Confrontation<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Superman & Lois<\/em> Season 1 Episode 14 \u201cThe Eradicator.\u201d]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leslie Larr (Stacey Farber) hasn\u2019t had much to say as she\u2019s stood by Morgan Edge\u2019s (Adam Rayner) side throughout Superman & Lois<\/em> Season 1, but that\u2019s going to change with the finale.<\/p>\n

Leslie may once again be locked up at the end of \u201cThe Eradicator,\u201d but the logline for the season-ender teases a confrontation between her and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch<\/a>). \u201cIt was my favorite scene to film from the whole season,\u201d Farber tells TV Insider. \u201cLeslie says very little throughout the show. She\u2019s sort of there by Edge\u2019s side glaring at people general<\/a>ly, unless she\u2019s attacking someone in the later episodes. Leslie finally uses her voice more and I really enjoyed that.\u201d<\/p>\n

That was new for Farber, who\u2019s used to having more to say in her other roles in emotional dramas (such as Virgin River<\/em>). Still, \u201cI love playing a villain, and that was difficult, too,\u201d she continues. \u201cIt was also really hard to communicate without words. It was a lot of death stares, basically, everywhere I went.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout the season, we\u2019ve seen her loyalty to Edge, and it doesn\u2019t sound like we should expect that to change. \u201cShe is totally aligned with Morgan Edge and supports him fully and is very loyal to his mission,\u201d Farber says. \u201cI don\u2019t think anything could change that for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

In \u201cThe Eradicator,\u201d prior to being taken back into custody, Leslie did attempt to take out Lois in a very similar fashion to the way Tulloch\u2019s character died on John Henry\u2019s (Wol\u00e9 Parks) Earth. (John Henry saved this Lois). \u201cI personally think Leslie could take down Lois and I also think Leslie knows that and believes that fully,\u201d Farber says.<\/p>\n

However, she does admit that her character \u201cprobably would respect Lois as an independent, ambitious, intelligent woman who\u2019s going after what she wants. They\u2019re similar in that respect. But I think she\u2019s so committed to her cause that she only sees Lois as an obstacle and as a threat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before that, Leslie faced off with John Henry, and Farber has loved filming fight sequences on Superman & Lois<\/em>. \u201cI had worked on something years ago where I played a CIA agent, which sounds ridiculous, but it was one episode of [The Brave<\/em>] and I got to do some stunt training and I had to learn how to fire a gun,\u201d she recalls. \u201cThere was all this choreography and I had never done that before. I don\u2019t even consider myself a particularly athletic person. I don\u2019t even work out a lot. And I know a lot of actors who dream of playing these roles and end up playing these roles are super fit and super into all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019d hoped to get the chance to do that again, and then came the role of Leslie Larr. \u201cIt\u2019s incredible. I download<\/a>ed the CW app \u2014 that\u2019s a plug for the app \u2014 and it was awesome because I got to re-watch extended versions of the episodes and I was sort of laughing to myself at how quick these sequences fly by and they\u2019re amazing to watch,\u201d she says. \u201cBut they take so long to film and it\u2019s sort of shocking to me how quick they cut together because we spent hours and hours and hours and days working on these things. There\u2019s stunt doubles and wires and green screens. I have to go in early to learn how to fake fly on a wire or learn how to throw a punch so that it looks good on camera and we\u2019ve put all of this time and energy \u2014 which I love, I think it\u2019s so fun \u2014 but when it actually shows up on screen, it\u2019s remarkable how short it is. It\u2019s seconds. It\u2019s wild.\u201d<\/p>\n

Being part of a series<\/a> based on comic book characters was new for Farber, too. \u201cI hadn\u2019t really watched comic book things before. The comics that I read growing up were Archie comics,\u201d she admits. \u201cSo this whole world was new to me and very overwhelming. I even had to Wikipedia Krypton because I didn\u2019t know anything about it. But Todd [Helbing], the showrunner, I think trying to put it into an easier language for me to understand, was like, \u2018She\u2019s a metahuman. She\u2019s Kryptonian. She\u2019s had a Kryptonian personality or mentality put into a human from Smallville or Metropolis\u2019 body\u2026 You know those women where you\u2019re like, can\u2019t she just smile? She\u2019s just so miserable all the time. Kryptonians are cold. There\u2019s a lack of emotion sometimes.’\u201d<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re wondering if that will change with the finale, the answer is it won\u2019t. \u201cWill this woman ever smile? And the answer is no, she won\u2019t,\u201d Farber says. \u201cAnd so I never did.\u201d<\/p>\n
