KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 Anthony Rizzo, one of four Yankees on the COVID-19 IL, is \u201cdoing a little better,\u201d Aaron Boone said before the Yankees\u2019 8-4 loss to the Royals on Tuesday night .<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s feeling OK,\u2019\u2019 Boone said of Rizzo, a cancer survivor who said publicly in June that he hadn\u2019t been vaccinated. \u201cHe has some symptoms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gary Sanchez had symptoms for \u201cseveral days,\u2019\u2019 according to Boone, but \u201cfelt really good [Tuesday.] \u2026 He turned a corner the last couple days.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Gerrit Cole and Jordan Montgomery \u2014 also out with COVID-19 \u2014 Boone said they could rejoin the team on the road trip<\/a> this week and possibly will throw bullpen sessions this weekend, when the Yankees play the White Sox in Chicago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll evaluate where they are as far as when we insert them back in [the rotation],\u2019\u2019 Boone said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
