It\u2019s\u00a0<em>Prisoners of the Ghostland<\/em>, a weird sci-fi Western action-horror extravaganza from filmmaker\u00a0Sion Sono. Here\u2019s the synopsis:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber (Nicolas Cage) is sprung from jail by wealthy warlord The Governor (<strong>Bill Moseley<\/strong>), whose adopted granddaughter Bernice (<strong>Sofia Boutella<\/strong>) has gone missing. The Governor offers the prisoner his freedom in exchange for retrieving the runaway. Str<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed into a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman\u2014and his own path to redemption.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I caught\u00a0<em>Prisoners of the Ghostland<\/em> at Sundance earlier this year and really enjoyed it. It\u2019s definitely not going to be for everyone, but it worked for me. It\u2019s the type of movie where characters show up and say stuff like, \u201cYou\u2019re fortunate that the Rat Man and the Rat Clan found you by the side of the highway and brought you to the Ghostland!\u201d You\u2019re either on board with that sort of thing, or you\u2019re not.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->Our own Ben Pearson reviewed the movie, and while he didn\u2019t enjoy it as much as I did, he did write: \u201cA maniacal whirlwind of cinematic insanity, it feels equally likely that <em>Prisoners of the Ghostland<\/em> could become a cult classic or disappear into the fog. It\u2019s unlike anything I\u2019ve ever read before. It might be the wildest movie I\u2019ve ever made, and that\u2019s saying something. It\u2019s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don\u2019t rescue the governor\u2019s daughter from this state line where they\u2019re all ghosts and bring her back they\u2019re gonna blow me up. It\u2019s just crazy. It\u2019s way out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So is Cage telling the truth?\u00a0<em>Is<\/em> this his wildest movie? Honestly, I\u2019d say no.\u00a0<em>Mandy<\/em> is a far wilder (and better) film, and that\u2019s just off the top of my head.
