Most media<\/a> are giving ample coverage to Texas\u2019 COVID woes, as the Delta variant has hospitals running out of ICU beds. But few reports note how President Joe Biden\u2019s border disaster is helping drive the crisis. <\/p>\n

US border agents encountered nearly 189,000 migrants in June alone, the latest in a string of record-setting months. And the Biden administration is releasing many of these illegal entrants into the interior. <\/p>\n

Plus, that surge surely means a similarly huge rise in migrants who never<\/em> get caught. Especially since Team Biden won\u2019t let Texas authorities do any immigration enforcement of their own. <\/p>\n

More than 80 percent of migrants are unvaccinated, per Immigration and Customs Enforcement data. As Betsy McCaughey noted in these pages, \u201cThe vaccination rates in Honduras and Guatemala, the countries of origin for most border crossers, are less than 1 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden took office vowing to beat the virus, but he\u2019s clearly more concerned with sticking to his refusal to secure the border.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
