\n Former Uconn star Stanley Robinson died at the age of 32, the school announced Wednesday. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe UConn Basketball family grieves the loss of a great player and an even greater person, Stanley \u201cSticks\u201d Robinson,\u201d the program tweeted. \u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with Stanley\u2019s family at this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

An Alabama native and high school All-American, the 6-foot-9 Robinson\u2019s athleticism made an immedia<\/a>te impact at UConn, where he became known for his incredible dunks and helped the Huskies reach the 2009 Final Four. After averaging 14.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks as a senior, Robinson was selected in the second round of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic.<\/p>\n

Robinson never app<\/a>eared in an NBA game<\/a>, starting his professional career in the G-League and largely playing in South America. He most recently played in Chile.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust a really, really sweet kid,\u201d former UConn coach Jim Calhoun told The Hartford Courant. \u201cThe world was harsh for him, because he was such a caring, giving person.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
