“#Anti-vax protesters storm vacated BBC headquarters<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Anti-vaccination protesters app<\/a>arently targeting the British Broadcasting Corporation stormed a London building the broadcaster moved out of eight years ago, a report said.<\/p>\n

Dozens of protesters converged Monday on the Television Centre \u2013 once the BBC\u2019s headquarters but now mostly home to luxury apartments and rented studio space for commercial broadcasting channel ITV.<\/p>\n

The protesters chanted \u201cshame on you\u201d and clashed with police as they launched a siege on the building, with material and comments indicating they planned to target a major BBC building, according to The Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Some vaccine skeptics have picked BBC News<\/a> as a favorite target, accusing it of pushing the COVID-19 vaccine, the newspaper stated.<\/p>\n

Also, the political editor of one of the BBC\u2019s news programs was targeted earlier this year by people angry over coronavirus lockdown restrictions, The Washington Post said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But during Monday\u2019s siege, protesters only managed to disrupt a live broadcast of ITV\u2019s \u201cThe Loose Women,\u201d according to the Post.<\/p>\n

Charlene White, who stars on the woman\u2019s roundtable program, later thanked London\u2019s Metropolitan Police and security.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot sure what protestors were hoping to achieve, but all they would\u2019ve found was me, Jane, Nadia and Penny on @loosewomen talking about the menopause,\u201d White tweeted<\/a> along with a shrugging emoji.<\/p>\n

Media<\/a> personality Andrew Neil also trolled the protesters in a tweet.<\/p>\n
