Universal Studios Japan announced<\/span><\/a> today that one of the Goombas\u00a0that was part of Super Nintendo World<\/strong> was blown off a stack of other Goombas on August 9 after strong winds from the remnants of\u00a0Typhoon Lupit swept through western Japan. Luckily for those visiting Universal Studios Japan, the Goomba fell several meters into an area where attendees aren’t allowed to enter, leaving no one injured and no 1-up’s lost.<\/strong><\/p>\n

USJ is currently investigating how the Goomba fell off its comrades, and for once, not looking at Mario as the suspect. Certain areas of Super Nintendo World, which only opened in March, were closed on August 10 for repairs, maintenance, and safety checks, but have since opened back up.<\/p>\n
