But for all its countless imitators and wannabes, we\u2019ve yet to see such a major push for\u00a0the iconic film to be reanimated as, well, an animated movie. That\u2019s where <em><strong>Night of the Animated Dead<\/strong><\/em> comes in and the results are \u2026 well, see for yourself. A new red band trailer for the project has been released in all its cartoon goriness, which you can watch below.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Night_of_the_Animated_Dead_Trailer\"><\/span>Night of the Animated Dead Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NIGHT OF THE ANIMATED DEAD Red Band Trailer (2021) George A. Romero Living Dead Remake Horror Movie\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/otJTs1Y47ZE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Many of us were waiting with bated breath to see what exactly the style of animation would be for this movie and, honestly, it can\u2019t help but come across as a little dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointing. There\u2019s a serious lack of momentum and tension throughout this footage that\u2019s entirely at odds with the overwhelming zombie threat, especially compared to the original. It\u2019s a glaring issue that goes far beyond any trailer editing tricks and certainly appears to be a result of the weirdly static and, frankly, not very pleasant-looking animation.<\/p>\n<p>Compare this to something like, say, <em>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse<\/em>\u00a0and the vast difference in kinetic energy and vibrancy becomes even clearer. It might seem unfair to juxtapose this with one of the most instantly beloved animated <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> in recent memory, but we <em>are<\/em> talking about what\u2019s essentially a remake of possibly the greatest zombie movie of all time, after all! It\u2019s definitely possible that this is just a trailer-specific issue and that the pacing and horror of the actual movie itself will be much improved, but there\u2019s no impression quite like a first impression. There\u2019s really\u00a0no getting around the idea that the animation style seems as lifeless and stale as the zombies themselves.<\/p>\n<p>The reason we can get wacky, experimental movies like this in the first place is because the original <em>Night of the Living Dead<\/em> has entered the public domain thanks to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plagiarismtoday.com\/2011\/10\/10\/how-a-copyright-mistake-created-the-modern-zombie\/\">some copyright shenanigans<\/a>. This is undeniably a good thing, as anyone can gain easy access to the original movie (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vZy6P72Uu3Y\">particularly for free online<\/a>) as well as put their own spin on the classic in whatever way that they want.
