Kathy Hochul<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>A handful of powerful state lobbyists already <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear to have their foot in the Executive Mansion, as Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul prepares to assume her new seat as governor of New York in a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>At least five big-shot lobbying shops, law firms and consultants started to move in on securing influence for clients with Hochul in the past couple of months \u2014 as Gov. Andrew Cuomo was under the cloud of a sexual harassment probe   that culminated in his resignation earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>The five firms, which include Kasirer \u2014 which was at one time was linked to former Gov. Mario Cuomo \u2014 and Albany-based power broker Dickinson &amp; Avella, directly lobbied Hochul as recently as May and June, the most recent period for which disclosures are available, according to the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics database.<\/p>\n<p>Including business associations and individual companies, at least 14 organizations have directly lobbied Hochul this year, the disclosures show.<\/p>\n<p>An unnamed longtime Democratic insider with ties to state leadership <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/08\/11\/kathy-hochul-these-lobbyists-are-talking-to-next-ny-governor.html\">told CNBC<\/a> that lobbyists likely began to ramp up their focus on Hochul earlier this year when the allegations against Cuomo began to heat up. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/lobbyists-hochul-05.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"New York Lt. Kathy Hochul in the past few months.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI am sure in Albany lobbying world they raced to curry favor with Kathy Hochul, starting with the cascade of accusations earlier this year,\u201d the unnamed insider told the outlet. \u201cI bet that\u2019s when her phone started going off the hook, because Albany lobbyists know when there\u2019s about to be a sea change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At least six lobbying shops, law firms and consultants directly lobbied Hochul since January, the disclosures show.<\/p>\n<p>That includes the New York City-based lobbying firm Kasirer, which directly lobbied Hochul on behalf of Columbia Care Inc., a medical and recreational cannabis product company that has locations in New York, New Jersey and other states. <\/p>\n<p>According to Kasirer\u2019s disclosure, the focus of their lobbying efforts was for \u201crelationship building regarding cannabis legislation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/lobbyists-hochul-04.jpeg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Columbia Care Cannabis.\" class=\"wp-image-19107685\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/lobbyists-hochul-04.jpeg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/lobbyists-hochul-04.jpeg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/lobbyists-hochul-04.jpeg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>A firm lobbied on behalf of Columbia Care Cannabis for \u201crelationship building regarding cannabis legislation.\u201d\u00a0<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Columbia Care<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In addition to Hochul, Kasirer\u2019s lobbying work for Columbia Care targeted members of the state Assembly and Senate, members of the New York City Council and Mayor Bill de Blasio, the disclosure shows. <\/p>\n<p>Cuomo\u00a0signed\u00a0a bill into law in March that will legalize recreational pot use statewide. Hochul will oversee the implementation of the policy.<\/p>\n<p>One of the individual Kasirer lobbyists listed on the disclosure is the firm\u2019s founder and president, Suri Kasirer, who was part of former Gov.
