On the surface, that may not feel like that much of a shock \u2014 then, you remember that Bowen is actually nominated against him\u00a0<em>in the same category.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In a new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of posts on his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/fayedunaway\/\">Instagram Stories<\/a>, Yang (who is one of the show\u2019s breakout stars, and the first-ever Featured Player to be nominated before a promotion) put his full support behind Kenan in the race. Why? Beyond just saying that Kenan is one of the best sketch co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>ns ever and a really nice guy, he also just doesn\u2019t want it. He knows that Kenan deserves it after\u00a0<em>so\u00a0<\/em>many years of being the anchor for this show.<\/p>\n<p>There are some crazy things to think about when it comes to Thompson\u2019s long-term\u00a0<em>SNL\u00a0<\/em>legacy, in addition to him being the longest-tenured cast member ever. It wasn\u2019t until a few years ago that the Television Academy started to recognize his work and even still, Kenan has yet to win a trophy as a performer. His one victory came back in 2018 under the Outstanding Music and Lyrics category for the \u201cCome Barack Barack\u201d music video sketch.<\/p>\n<p>While we think Kenan has a chance of winning the Emmy this year, it\u2019s also clear that there is a\u00a0<em>lot\u00a0<\/em>of stiff competition out there. Just remember for a moment that there are a ton of actors from the\u00a0<em>Ted Lasso\u00a0<\/em>cast nominated this year and you can\u2019t be altogether shocked if one of them gets the win instead.
