\nBobby Shmurda\u2019s route to releasing new music has differed from his peers who\u2019ve previously spent extended time behind bars. In a new profile for the New York Times<\/a><\/em>, the 27-year-old Brooklyn rapp<\/a>er revealed the next step in his plan to solidify his career post-prison \u2013 a management deal with Roc Nation.<\/p>\n

Being heavily involved in his career, the \u201cHot Nigga\u201d rapper has gained a greater outlook on life and is taking things more seriously than he did when he was in the streets heavily.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019ll ask questions and not just ask but actually comprehend,\u201d Mike Brinkley, a senior vice president of artist management at the label said of Shmurda. \u201cMeeting him for the first time, you can\u2019t even fathom what he went through because he doesn\u2019t wear it. He\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m here to work, what do you need me to do?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
