{"id":324465,"date":"2021-08-14T19:35:07","date_gmt":"2021-08-14T16:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/od-death-toll-mounts-in-nycs-washington-square-park-including-3-last-week\/"},"modified":"2021-08-14T19:35:07","modified_gmt":"2021-08-14T16:35:07","slug":"od-death-toll-mounts-in-nycs-washington-square-park-including-3-last-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/od-death-toll-mounts-in-nycs-washington-square-park-including-3-last-week\/","title":{"rendered":"#OD death toll mounts in NYC&#8217;s Washington Square Park, including 3 last week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#OD death toll mounts in NYC&#8217;s Washington Square Park, including 3 last week<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>As if Washington Square Park hasn\u2019t had enough trouble lately, now there\u2019s a rising body count of suspected drug overdose deaths.<\/p>\n<p>Five people have been found dead in and around the NYC landmark since May 31, including three just last week alone, according to police. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The spate of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arent overdose victims in such a short period \u201cis definitely unusual,\u201d said Michael Alcazar, an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and former NYPD detective who worked undercover at Washington Square Park.<\/p>\n<p>The latest victim, identified as Mohamed Ali, 35, of Brooklyn, was found dead early Tuesday morning in the driver\u2019s seat of a Ford Mustang outside the park\u2019s northeast entrance.<\/p>\n<p>Just days earlier, on Aug. 5, a man and woman were found lying face up and unconscious just outside the southwest corner of the park. Both were pronounced dead at nearby hospitals. <\/p>\n<p>A 30-year-old man died \u201csitting on a bench, leaning against a tree\u201d near the southwest corner of the park on July 15, police said.
