A man on a e-scooter was killed when a car slammed into him early Saturday in Brooklyn, police said. <\/p>\n

The accident happ<\/a>ened at around 2:20 a.m. when a 42 year-old man behind the wheel of a white Hyundai Elantra travel<\/a>ing eastbound on Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn made a right turn onto southbound Hoyt Street \u2014 hitting a 29-year-old on the e-scooter, who was heading east on Fulton, cops said. <\/p>\n

Officers responding to a 911 call found the victim unconscious and unresponsive, lying in the roadway with severe body trauma, an NYPD spokesman said.<\/p>\n

EMS transported the fatally injured man to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD spokesman said.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene along with a 26-year-old woman who was sitting in front passenger seat of the vehicle, cops said. Both refused medical attention. Police said there are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
