During the World Trigger Channel Vol.1\u00a0<\/em>live stream tonight<\/span><\/a>, it was announced that the upcoming 3rd season of the Toei Animation-produced series<\/a> will premiere on October 9\u00a0on the NUMAnimation block on TV Asahi<\/strong>. The live stream also premiered<\/span><\/a> a brand new trailer for the season, but it is currently region-locked to Japan.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The live stream also announced that a second live stream, titled\u00a0World Trigger Channel Vol.2<\/em>, will be occurring on September 8 on the Toei Animation YouTube<\/a> channel. Also revealed was a\u00a0World Trigger THE MUSIC EXPO<\/strong><\/em> concert with composer\u00a0Kenji Kawai <\/strong>leading the\u00a0World Trigger<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em> Symphonic Band for\u00a0October 17 at the\u00a0Tokyo Garden Theater, where fans will be able to experience the famous scenes from the anime series with an orchestral score.<\/p>\n

The first season of\u00a0World Trigger<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0aired from October 2014 to April 2016, totaling 73 episodes, with the second season starting in January 2021.\u00a0Both seasons are currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as such:<\/p>\n

One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly app<\/a>eared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology<\/a> and fights to protect this world. In a short time, they managed to build an enormous base and prepare a defensive system against the Neighbors. it’s been four years since then.<\/em><\/p>\n
