Liverpool have condemned the \u201coffensive and inapp<\/a>ropriate\u201d anti-gay chants aimed at Norwich City midfielder Billy Gilmour during Saturday\u2019s 3-0 Premier League win at Carrow Road.<\/p>\n

Scotland international Gilmour, who joined Norwich on loan this season from Chelsea, was targeted by a section of Liverpool fans during the match.<\/p>\n

The chants were called out on Twitter<\/a> by \u201cKop Outs,\u201d Liverpool\u2019s LGBT+ Fans Group, with the Merseyside club adding here \u201cThe chant is offensive and inappropriate \u2013 a message we have repeatedly communicated alongside Kop Outs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe urge supporters to remember the inclusive values of the club and to refrain from using it in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool on Saturday as they got their 2021-22 league campaign off to a flying start.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
