{"id":325449,"date":"2021-08-16T14:17:56","date_gmt":"2021-08-16T11:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/stephen-amell-on-wrestling-and-his-new-show-heels\/"},"modified":"2021-08-16T14:17:56","modified_gmt":"2021-08-16T11:17:56","slug":"stephen-amell-on-wrestling-and-his-new-show-heels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/stephen-amell-on-wrestling-and-his-new-show-heels\/","title":{"rendered":"#Stephen Amell on wrestling and his new show &#8216;Heels&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Stephen Amell on wrestling and his new show &#8216;Heels&#8217;<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>He\u2019s going from the Arrowverse to the ring.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fresh off an eight-year stint starring as Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow, on the CW\u2019s\u00a0\u201cArrow\u201d (2012-2020), Stephen Amell is now starring in the wrestling drama \u201cHeels.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Premiering Aug. 15 on Starz, the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> follows brothers Jack (Amell) and Ace (Alexander Ludwig, \u201cVikings,\u201d) in the fictional small town of Duffy, Georgia, who have inherited their late father\u2019s pro-wrestling league (called the DWL). There, they play out <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ed matches for the locals, inhabiting larger-than-life wrestling personas while their egos clash behind the scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI watched the WWE growing up \u2013 WWF at the time. It was legitimately my favorite thing. So, to be able to hop into this world and make this my job was just a dream come true,\u201d Amell, 40, told The Post. \u201cI was somewhat hesitant to jump back into something in television as the lead of a show after eight years of really hard work on \u2018Arrow.\u2019 But it was too great of an opportunity to turn down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cHeels,\u201d older brother Jack, who\u2019s a \u201cheel\u201d (a villain in the world of wrestling) is attempting to keep the DWL afloat and handle all of its promotion while also juggling his day job as a lawnmower salesman and with his family life: his wife, Staci (Alison Luff) and son, Thomas (Roxton Garcia). He has experience, having appeared on WWE\u2019s \u201cRaw\u201d program in 2015 and in \u201cRing of Honor\u201d (2017) between seasons of \u201cArrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of the connection that I\u2019ve had with professional wrestling, since I\u2019ve gotten to do some stuff with the WWE and AEW, [\u2018Heels\u2019 wanted] me. When I did previous stuff with professional wrestling, I faked it as best I could,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause I didn\u2019t have that much time. I was doing other stuff. I was just coming in for cameo match appearances and things of that nature. It was really important for me this time around to spend as much time as possible on fundamentals. Hitting the ropes, walking up, punching. I wanted a second stab at it. But, I overshot it and landed straight up and down and suffered a compression fracture on my vertebrae. Ace is such an integral part of the DW, and Jack doesn\u2019t do the right thing. He kind of pulls a d\u2013k move. That\u2019s the most interesting part, for me. I\u2019m capable of pacing myself as opposed to going 100 miles an hour all the time.
