Brunson suffered a season-ending torn ACL only a few minutes after forcing a fumble in the Giants\u2019 preseason loss to the Jets at MetLife Stadium on Saturday. <\/p>\n<p>Veteran S Josh Kalu suffered a torn pectoral muscle. Third-string QB Clayton Thorson <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to suffer a head\/neck injury on the final offensive play, and underwent medical exams on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants signed quarterback\u00a0Brian Lewerke, according to his agent,\u00a0Mike McCartney. That\u2019s a strong indication that third-stringer\u00a0Thorson, will miss time. It is difficult for teams to get through a training camp practice without overtaxing just two quarterbacks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully it all comes out for the best,\u201d Joe Judge said after the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s been working hard for us. The 6-foot-5, 233-pounder is abnormally large for a gunner on punts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe focus for him was going to be to play special teams,\u201d Judge said. \u201cHe did a good job for us. I saw what I needed to see. In terms of defense, we had some other guys we wanted to evaluate who have been doing a good job for us in practice. Him not playing really doesn\u2019t reflect specifically anything on his status defensively.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>LB Blake Martinez was not on the sideline with other rested starters because of a non-football medical issue. He rejoined the team Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just wanted to get him away from our players and just make sure everything is good before having him in the building,\u201d Judge said. \u201cIf it was a regular-season game, he would\u2019ve been able to go ahead and tough on through it.
