“#This Is Us Final Season Scoop Brought NBC Execs to Tears<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

One of TV’s biggest shows is wrapp<\/a>ing up for good this coming season.<\/p>\n

And while little is known about what This Is Us Season 6 will be about, Dan Fogelman has opened up about him telling NBC execs what will go down.<\/p>\n

As expected, his plans had those at the network in tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople were crying to the point that I wasn\u2019t sure if I should keep going or not,\u201d Fogleman explained during Deadline\u2019s Contenders FYC Q&A.<\/p>\n

\u201cCameras were shutting off, and I thought I\u2019d lost people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fogelman then opened up about writing This Is Us Season 6 Episode 1.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I]t\u2019s the second time I\u2019ve cried writing the show,\u201d he shared, adding that the first time was when writing the death of William.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Oh God, what\u2019s happening?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

As previously reported, This Is Us has been postponed to midseason to allow the series<\/a> to have a relatively uninterrupted run.<\/p>\n

The final season was made official in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever casually first said \u2018All good things must come to an end\u2019 never had to end their favorite thing,\u201d Fogelman shared on social media<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile sad to have just 1 season left, also grateful to NBC for letting us end the show how, and when, we always intended.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll work hard to stick the landing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Mandy Moore said that she has one season left of her “favorite job.”<\/p>\n

“Officially official. One season left of my favorite job. You can bet we will be soaking in every single moment,” she wrote on social media when the last season was announced.<\/p>\n

\u00a0“I’m already VERY emotional about my favorite job coming to an end. BUT … We have a whole season to wrap things up the way it was always intended.\u201d<\/p>\n

“What a ride it’s been … what an incredible season to come,” Susan Kelechi Watson shared.<\/p>\n
