A representative for the 35-year-old \u201cBad Romance\u201d singer did not respond to The Post\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was always a sweetheart. She was nice to the bartenders. I\u2019ve had four heart operations \u2014 I don\u2019t want to kill myself with stress,\u201d Connolly said. \u201cIt\u2019s a different world and, frankly, a harder world in the bar business. A younger guy can do it better.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sidedoornyc.com\/\">Side Door<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.onelenox.com\/\">One Lennox<\/a>\u201d restauranteur Istvan Nagy will continue to run the space as a bar, restaurant and entertainment venue under a new name, which is yet to be determined. <\/p>\n<p>It is slated to open in November or December, according to Katz &amp; Associates, who represented Connolly in the transaction. Hugh, often called \u201cHughie\u201d by patrons, added live music and re-named it \u201cDesmond\u2019s Tavern.\u201d Gaga visited during the 2000s, he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe neighborhood kept changing and gentrifying. It is very changed. We adjusted, but we kind of stayed the same,\u201d he said. \u201cOur menus became more gentrified and contemporary over the years, but we stuck to a lot of the traditional stuff.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gaga, who recently performed with Tony Bennett in NYC until he retired last week, grew up in the Pythian condominiums in Lincoln Square, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/04\/30\/lady-gagas-dad-says-he-never-believed-unusual-story-of-woman-who-found-dogs\/?_ga=2.251105094.1506787499.1629118519-1036613723.1610309426\">where her father Joe Germanotta<\/a> still runs the Joanne Trattoria restaurant.
