NFTs launched via the platform will be issued on the \u201cNew Copyright Blockchain\u201d \u2014 a distributed ledger <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> platform centrally operated by the Sichuan Blockchain Association Copyright Committee. <\/p>\n<p>According to an Aug. 17 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/tech\/big-tech\/article\/3145232\/alibabas-new-blockchain-auction-platform-selling-star-wars-art-ledger\">report<\/a> from the Alibaba-owned <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> publication, South China Morning Post (SCMP), the marketplace hopes to target writers, musicians, artists, and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> developers.<\/p>\n<p>The marketplace is already live, hosting several NFTs that are set to be auctioned next month. Bidders must post a deposit of 500 yuan (roughly $77) to participate in auctions. Each upcoming auction has set a reserve price of $15 each. <\/p>\n<p>Buyers can view their collections via crypto portfolio <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lication, Bit Universe, which is integrated into WeChat.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the new marketplace, SCMP reporter Josh Ye <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheRealJoshYe\/status\/1427445874595045385\">tweeted<\/a> that \u201calthough the technology itself does not prevent unauthorised copying. Sales include complete ownership of works purchased through the platform.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Many NFTs on display do not articulate what rights are afforded to purchasers, with one NFT even appearing to depict unlicensed Star Wars fan art. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: Musician sells rights to deepfake her voice using NFTs<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While this is Alibaba\u2019s biggest NFT announcement to date, many of the firm\u2019s subsidiaries have are already embracing nonfungible tokens.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Cointelegraph reported that Alibaba-owned e-commerce platform Taobao showcased NFTs for the first time in its annual Maker Festival celebrating Chinese art and entrepreneurship.
