Many accused Toobin of mounting a cheap publicity stunt as he argued that there wasn\u2019t enough evidence to bring a case against Trump over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>The Palmer Report, a liberal political blog, accused Toobin of writing the headline-grabbing column in a ploy to keep his gig at CNN in the wake of the masturbation scandal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s not just that Jeffrey Toobin\u2019s past behavior is objectionable.
