\n It\u2019s the ultimate sign of respect.<\/p>\n

Bol Bol put on a show in the NBA Bubble, recording 16 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks in the Nuggets\u2019 89-82 exhibition win over the Wizards Wednesday. He hit two 3-pointers in the process, utilizing his versatility to play various positions throughout the game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The performance immediately prompted a \u201crandom\u201d drug test for the 7-foot-2 rookie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been working really hard, especially since I got here in the bubble,\u201d Bol told reporters after the game. \u201cI was just trying not to be nervous, and then everything would just come to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The son of former NBA center Manute Bol, Bol Bol was once considered a top prospect ahead of the 2019 NBA draft. Left foot surgery derailed his season at Oregon, however, causing him to slide to the 44th pick.<\/p>\n

The surgery has kept Bol on the sideline for the entirety of his rookie campaign to this point. His standout performance on Wednesday was his NBA debut.<\/p>\n

Nuggets coach Michael Malone hopes there will be more \u201crandom\u201d drug test-type performances to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t teach 7-[foot]-2. I can\u2019t teach a 7-[foot]-9 wingspan, and I sure as hell can\u2019t teach a really soft touch all the way out to the NBA 3-points line,\u201d Malone told reporters after the game. \u201cSo, he\u2019s only going to get better as he gets stronger.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
